Network Design is still a lively debate in most Enterprise IT organizations. The adoption of IPv6 will provide some benefit in terms of administration and operations. Still, this is the discipline that has perhaps the largest budget, however, also the largest budget hurdles. No one knows everything! However, we have been in the trenches more than once. EVERYTHING revolves around requirements. Often, the requirements are thinner than the budget. This brings us to the point that designs are fabricated from requirements. These requirements are derived based on your business needs. Many loose sight of this balance. Also, many well thought solutions do not necessitate forklift upgrades or tremendous expense. Based on your requirements, we can fabricate a design. However, this design is not the end, it is merely the beginning.

The customer knows their business and the expected result better than anyone! Based on interaction and feedback from the customer, the design may be re-worked as a new or overlooked requirement is meshed into the project. It WILL not move forward until the customer’s final approval. As for the final design, no detail is too small. We’re big fans of doing things correctly. For instance, ALL interfaces have descriptions; ALL circuit numbers are known and listed in the description, and the documentation WILL BE complete and accurate. Also, we DO NOT resell hardware. In other words we will work to provide the best value and required functionality regardless of the vendor.
