IPv6
( or IPng ) has been coming for quite some
time. However, with the U.S. Government's
recent mandate to convert agency backbones
to IPv6 by June of 2008, IPv6 is becoming
mainstream.
Here
at IPv6 Incorporated we are doing considerable
work with IPv6. This work ranges from authoring
Transition Plans for Large Government Clients,
to implementing IPv6 dual stack implementations
for IPv6 in a large Enterprise. Also, we teach
primer sessions for IPv6 that are suitable
for Executives and perhaps Technical Managers.
Our
experience so far tells us that everything
is in the planning. An IPv6 Transition can
be as costly as you want, or with the proper
planning and governance, this can be a very
smooth and fluid transition. |
